I feel an urge to have my 2c again. I was reading an interesting article on Lloyd's blog. For my less techie readers it might be necessary to point out that Lloyd is one of the geeks at WordPress. The article was OK. But the comments were fascinating. Two strands of thought by people who are kind-of-contemplating-open-source-but-need-an-excuse-to not get- started-just-yet struck me as worthy of opposing.

The only two possible redeeming features of this lamentable programme are the presence of Terry Wogan and the absence of the Americans. Terry worked out years ago that tongue in cheek mockery was the proper genre for the commentator. The Americans would probably franchise it and have regional quarter finals or something. It is in progress as we speak. And the entry from Bosnia Herzgovenia has trawled new depths.
